To start my research portfolio I thought it best that I watch some of Pixars films in order to relive just how they made me feel and what it is I remember best about them. This videos shows short clips of different Pixar films, one thing I gather from watching this is just how meaningful their films are. I'm not one to get upset or cry at films, but this really brought a warm feeling to me while watching it. The strength of their characters is as good as any animation company in my eyes, and one of the main reasons I have chose to choose Pixar for my research portfolio.
Pixar is an American Computer Animation Studio based in California. Their films have made over $6.4billion worldwide, claiming 26 Academy Awards, 7 Golden Globes and 3 Grammys. The studio used CGI-animation with PhotoRealistic RenderMan. The studio has produced 12 feature films all of which have been in the 50 biggest grossing animated film. All their films have also had an association with Disney.
